Samplesound wanted to develop a custom app to allow users to search precisely within its vast music catalog. Additionally, it wanted to integrate advanced artificial intelligence features to enable users to create music samples from scratch using textual prompts.
We developed a progressive web app using advanced technology like Angular. The e-commerce platform is built with Shopify, and to access the user profile and manage the app subscription, we used Storefront API in headless mode.
Angular and Material Design 3 allowed us to create an intuitive user interface for sample searching and integrate AI models to generate personalized music samples. We hosted everything on Vercel to ensure high-performance CDN.
Samplesound significantly improved its customers' search and purchasing experience. In the current
e-commerce setup, only sample bundles are offered, and it is not possible to conduct precise
searches by, for example, genre, bpm, instrument, and much more.
All of this is now possible thanks to an advanced search interface that allows producers to find exactly
what they are looking for in no time.
Thanks to advanced search and the ability to download a single sample at a time, Samplesound introduced a new business model based on monthly subscriptions that allow users to earn credits for downloading samples.
The development of a custom web app allowed Samplesound to integrate APIs that enable the generation of personalized music samples, offering music producers an innovative and high-quality service. This innovation allowed Samplesound to differentiate itself from the competition.
Another important result was the seamless integration with the main e-commerce platform built on Shopify. Users can access the web app using the same credentials as the online store and manage their subscriptions directly from the app.
